Hello, my name is Dianne Smith and I am happy to serve as ACPA representative for Pike County. Cemeteries are in fact a historical record of who we as a people were in the past. We need to be faithful in our preservation and care of the resting places of our sacred dead as our ancestors have been during their watch. The Alabama Cemetery Preservation Alliance is working to correctly locate, identify and photograph all of Pike County's Cemeteries. We need your help! If you know of an obscure or little-known cemetery, we would like to hear from you. Help us locate these hard to find cemeteries. As cemeteries become available online, please contact us if you know of unmarked graves that we should be aware of. We want everybody to participate in this worthwhile project.
