The 20th Alabama Cemetery Preservation Workshop will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 in the Historic New Market United Methodist Church, 310 Hurricane Road, New Market, AL.
Registration will start at 8:30 a.m., and the program will start at 9:00.
The workshop will relocate after lunch to the historic Mount Paran Campground and Cemetery. The church is on the National Register of Historic Places and the cemetery is on the Alabama Historic Cemetery Register.
We believe we have again assembled an exciting and informative program scheduled for you with presentations and demonstractions by highly experience and sought-after professionals for the chosen topics. The downloadable workshop flyer provides additional details with a registration form. The ACPA board decided to keep fess as low as
possible in recognition of our 20th Annual Cemetery Preservation Workshop. The $25 (ACPA members) and $40 (non-members)fees include breakfast biscuits, refreshments, a box lunch, and handout materials. Please note that the registrations for the workshop must be received by April 23, 2022 to ensure handout materials and that a box lunch will be available for you. Also, please note on the registration form that the board approved extending the policy of "free membership to first-time attendees: for the remainder of the calendar year.
For those of you traveling to the Huntsville/New Market area on Friday, April 29th, we have obtained group rates at the Best Western Huntsville for one- and two-night stays. The cutoff date for the group rate – or most likely at any rate as this is a busy time - is April 27, 2022.

A notice is also attached advising that we will conduct a required Annual Membership Meeting briefly during lunch. No elections are scheduled this year. Both members and non-members are invited to participate but of course only members in good standing may vote on any motions that may require a vote.
